Back in October 2024, I thought of trying something different by making my own Homemade Allergen - Free bonfire toffee.

What do I mean by Allergen - Free?

Instead of using the traditional method of butter (Milk) with the ingredients which simply are made up of Dark Brown Sugar, Black Treacle, Golden Syrup, Cream Of Tarter (E336), Rapeseed Oil & Water.

Simply, boiled in a conventional saucepan stirring to prevent burning until the mixture has turned into treacle.

Removed from the heat, poured into a desired mould until cooled down ready to be smashed up using no other than the back of a spoon.

I weigh out 250g of Toffee to be sold in sealable bags for freshness with an expiry date of 2 years.

Before production took place at home in our kitchen, a sample was sent off to a food forensic laboratory within the UK for testing to be given a certificate of authenticity for us to use the term Allergen - Free.
